Retailers Expanding in Florida

The BishopBeale Retail team represents retailers who are actively expanding in the Central Florida market and throughout the state of Florida.

1.    Wahlburgers – Jill Rose and Davey Brown of BishopBeale are representing the Boston-based burger concept, Wahlburgers in potentially opening 20 new Florida restaurants over the next couple years. The target markets for growth are the I-Drive and UCF areas of Central Florida along with locations in Tampa, South and Southwest Florida, Tallahassee and Gainesville.
2.    The Joint - a nationwide chiropractic franchise delivering quality, affordable, convenient healthcare to families. CJ Jaffee of BishopBeale has identified six new Central Florida locations and is actively looking for more.

3.    California Tortilla – a Mexican Food Restaurant known for delicious fresh burritos, tacos, fajitas and quesadillas in a casual, fun atmosphere. This restaurant chain originated in Washington DC and has 54 locations along the eastern seaboard. Jill Rose, Davey Brown and CJ Jaffee of BishopBeale are representing them in their expansion in several Florida markets including Orlando, Tampa, Melbourne and Naples – Ft Myers. We currently have 5 inked deals and expect to have many more in the next couple years.

4.    Columbia Care – Columbia Care is a nationally recognized Marijuana dispensary expanding into the Florida Market. Jill Rose of BishopBeale is representing this retailer within the Central Florida MSA, along with Brevard, Marion, Sumter and Volusia counties. We have secured three locations and are actively working on two more.

5.    The Vape Store – CJ Jaffee of BishopBeale is representing The Vape Store in opening five new locations in the Central Florida market. The retailer has an aggressive expansion planned over the next two years to open multiple stores in the markets from Central to Southwest Florida.

6.    Dunkin Donuts – Davey Brown of BishopBeale represented Dunkin Donuts in opening five stores in the Central Florida area. Most recently, Dunkin Donuts occupied a dual tenant building in Port Orange, Florida. The space is 2,000 SF and includes a drive-thru. This is Dunkin Donut’s third location in Port Orange area.

Recent Deals from the Retail Team

Jill Rose and CJ Jaffee of BishopBeale leased a 6,000 SF space in the Kissimmee Value Center, a center that has been vacant for over 5 years. The tenant, Coliseum of Comics is a regional retailer that has been in business for over 30 years. The Center’s sale dollars per SF are comparable to the high value retail outlet sales on I-Drive exceeding $1,000/SF. In addition to this unit, a new tenant has an LOI on the remaining 33,000 SF which will bring the center to 100% occupancy.

Jill Rose of BishopBeale has successfully completed 3 lease deals totaling 7,000 SF in Mills Park leaving only one small unit available. PNC Bank, Banfield Pet Hospital and Yamasan Japanese Restaurant are the newest tenants to occupy the center. BishopBeale is now focusing efforts on the two remaining vacant pads along US 17-92. Each pad is 18,000 SF and can each hold a 5 story - 90,000 SF building. Target uses for the sites are hotel and office developers.

Jill Rose, Davey Brown and CJ Jaffee of BishopBeale represented the Landlord of Osceola Village in selling their 1.28 acre outparcel to the nationally recognized retailer, 7-Eleven and leasing a 5,000 SF unit to ABC Owls Day Care facility.  

Jill Rose and CJ Jaffee of BishopBeale represented the owner in the sale of a 2,588 SF freestanding restaurant building to the nationally recognized retailer, Dunkin Donuts. This building was formerly occupied by the fast food chain Arby’s and is located at 801 Lee Road in Orlando, Florida.
