Developer Closes on Land for UCF-Area Luxury Student Housing

Landmark Properties Inc. closed on nearly 34 acres on a new townhome project catered toward University of Central Florida students. Jill Rose, broker at BishopBeale, represented the developer on this project that took close to 2 years to assemble. The sales closed in mid-June for $13.2 million.

Uniform Retailer Buys property Fronting Florida Mall

Hialeah-based All Uniform Wear paid $1.42 million on May 26 for a stand-alone retail store fronting The Florida Mall, and is interested in finding similar property to buy in Kissimmee near its current leased space, a principal with the company told GrowthSpotter.

Located at 1563 Florida Mall Ave., the 9,328-square-foot building originally housed a Pier 1 Imports when it was built in 1994, and was most recently leased by non-profit Career Source.

The property was only on market for about a month before going under contract, said Patrick Goetz, vice president with Bishop Beale who represented the seller, an LLC affiliate of the late Robert Rizika in Palm Beach Gardens.

Chicago-based Scaffolding Supplier Enters Orlando Market with Industrial Land Buy

Chicago-based Contractors Access Equipment recently spent $825,000 to enter the Orlando market, buying 2.4 acres with plans still in the works for new construction or renovation of two 52-year-old buildings on the site.

Located at 1610 N. Goldenrod Road (S.R. 55) in unincorporated Orange County, the company bought the land on May 9, according to a deed recorded May 15. The seller was Summerfield Properties Inc., an affiliate of Orlando Steel Enterprises.

Pat Goetz, Vice President of BishopBeale, represented Orlando Steel Enterprises in the sale. Goetz said Wolsefer plans to open another distributorship in the Orlando area at some point.

Baldwin Park to Get Brewery

Tactical Brewing Company on Tuesday signed a 10-year lease to open a brewery on New Broad Street in Orlando’s Baldwin Park community, according to BishopBeale.

Doug Meyer leased 3,657 square feet of retail space on the main thoroughfare of Baldwin Park. Rob Richmond and Jay Strates, of BishopBeale, represented Meyer on the commercial real estate lease.

Federal Bureau of Investigation Leased the Old Insight Financial Credit Union

The Federal Bureau of Investigation leased the old Insight Financial Credit Union on Keller Road in southwest Maitland with plans to relocate from nearby offices. The federal agency will keep its field office in Tampa, which oversees about 18 counties in Central and West Florida, but expand with a 15-year lease at 480 South Keller Road for Orlando operations, according to several officials. The federal agency has offices north of State Road 414 in Maitland.

PVM LLC sold a 31,700 SF USDA Production and Cold Storage facility to ALSSC LP for $2,325,000.00. The industrial building sits on over 4 acres of land and is conveniently located near the Orlando International Airport.
